There is a reason our apartments are coveted by every New Yorker. 1199 apartments are oversized and built with families in mind. The hallmarks of every Studio, 1, 2, 3 bedroom apartment and 4 bedroom duplex in the cooperative, are comfort and convenience. Each residence has a spacious foyer, ample closets, bright, sunny living rooms and bedrooms – and many have terraces with spectacular views.

1199 is a self-contained community. Our property features a landscaped plaza with tall shade trees, flowerbeds and sitting areas. Our 40,000 square foot athletic center has a 25-yard, six-lane indoor pool; a regulation-size gym with basketball courts, two roof-top tennis courts; exercise and fitness rooms; yoga and dance studio space; and more.

Application and Waiting List

1199 Housing Corporation has waiting lists for all of its apartments. Our waiting list has been closed as of May 15th 2018. Anyone interested should use this site as well as HPD’s website to obtain an application to get on the waiting list upon reopening of this list. We look forward to welcoming you to one of East Harlem’s most vibrant and exciting communities.
